17.5"x60"x5" - Acrylic on Firewire Tomo Vanguard Surfboard, canvas print, wood

I was soo stoked when my wife bought me this board for Christmas! I had been reading about Tomo and the work he started doing with Firewire. I was looking for a shape that reminded me of my wakeboard, was small yet had high performance in mind.

With the Tomo Vanguard I found it. On my first session I caught a fun 3-5 foot swell. On my second wave I cut a great feeling roundhouse cutback. When I returned to the face something felt off.

It was on the Maiden Voyage that I broke the board. At least Firewire sold me another for half price. This one has the bamboo rails and is still going strong.
